Breaking: House committee on Muslim Pilgrims Affairs to investigate 2023 Hajj


The House of Representatives has directed its committee on Muslim Pilgrims Affairs to investigate the several anomalies that occurred during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
The committee was given four (4) weeks to report it’s findings.

This was revealed on Wednesday by the chairman of the committee, Hon. Jafaru Mohammed Ali (Shettima Borgu) during the inaugural meeting of the committee at the National Assembly Complex.

“As you aware the committee on Muslim Pilgrimage Affairs handles the activities of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), and the office of the clerk House of Representatives has sent a referral to this committee to conduct a detailed investigation into the several anomalies that emanated from the 2023 Hajj and report within four (4) weeks.”

The chairman promised to lead the committee by providing an all inclusive leadership.
He therefore, sought for the cooperation of his colleagues and the media.
