In furtherance of sensitizing Muslim faithfuls across the state on the modalities for the 2024 hajj operations, the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has moved to Yewa zone of the state for its sensitization exercise

Speaking at Ilaro Central Mosque, the Executive Secretary of the Board Alhaji Dauda Salau said the essence of the sensitization was to inform Muslims across the State on the commencement of 2024 Hajj Operations and the need for them to promptly deposit the sum of 4.5million naira Hajj fare on or before 31st of December, 2023 as announced by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)

Salau while addressing the league of Imams and Alfas explained that being the major stakeholders, it was necessary to carry them along in the activities of the Board so that they can further relay the message to intending pilgrims and the Muslim Ummah in their area.

“We are here to solicit your support as we are aware that you are key stakeholders in the hajj operations, we want you to use your position and goodwill to tell the Muslim faithfuls and intending pilgrims about the 2024 hajj operations so that they can pay on time before the deadline”. He said.
