The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON will update the list of recommended private Hajj Operators that will be allowed to partake in registering and ferrying Nigerian Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2024 Hajj exercise.

The recommended list earlier released as published by HAJJ REPORTERS contained 58 recommended Tour Operators and 97 non-qualified Tour Operators but the commission said it will update the list after attending to the appeal of those companies who didn’t meet the initial clearance under the ‘recommended list’.

Recall that HAJJ REPORTERS had earlier today published lists of qualified and non-qualified Tour Operators for the 2024 hajj license as released by NAHCON.

A highly placed source who spoke to HAJJ REPORTERS said “NAHCON only forwarded the names of those companies that are recommended for approval to AHUON for their information and awareness. Some of the companies that are not on the recommended list may still be considered after the appeal which has been scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday, November 21. The final approved list will be released by NAHCON after throughout review of all appeals and vetted by the high hierarchy of the commission based on the laid down rules and regulations guiding such exercise, he said.

A letter of recommended list dated 19th November and signed by Assistant Director Tour Operators, Ahmad Muhammad Shira seen by HAJJ REPORTERS said “ I am directed to forward the list of qualified and non-qualified companies for 2024 Hajj License and please note that all disqualified companies may wish to appeal by addressing a letter to the Ag. Chairman/CEO National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.

In the letter, The commission stated that the letter of appeals should reached the commission not later than 8 am of Tuesday, 21st November.
