Hajj 2024: Uba Sani inaugurates 8-member Committee, promises hitch-free exercise

The Kaduna State Government today has inaugurated a committee that will work with the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for the smooth 2024 hajj exercise. Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, representing Governor Uba Sani who inaugurated the committee said the move is a testament to the government’s commitment to facilitate hitch-free hajj exercise for the state’s intending pilgrims

The committee comprised Islamic scholars and individuals with diverse backgrounds. The members of the committee include:

1. Sheikh Salisu Abubakar – Chairman
2. Baba Ahmed Rufai – Secretary
3. Malam Buhari
4. Malam Kasim Aminu
5. Hajiya Maimuna Waziri
6. *Ummu Kulsum Maigwari
7. Prof Muhammad Mustapha Gwadebe
8. AVM Dabo

The Chairman of the committee Sheikh Salisu Abubakar expressed gratitude for the responsibility bestowed upon the committee and pledged to work diligently towards a successful 2024 hajj exercise.

In her address, Deputy Governor Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe urged the committee to uphold transparency, accountability, and the highest ethical standards in carrying out their duties. She emphasized the significance of the hajj exercise to the Muslim community and the importance of fostering a positive image for Kaduna State.
