Hajj Payment Deadline: Oyo Board Chairman visits Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a

The Chairman, Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare’s Board (Muslim Wing), Sheikh Hashim AbdulWahab Olamide Atere, today in Ibadan paid a courtesy visit to leaders of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), Oyo State Chapter,

Sheikh Atere who was warmly received by the Islamic group sought for their corporation, by assist in sensitizing their members and other Muslims in the State on the importance of early payment of the N4.5M Hajj fare deposit as announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), so that the Board can achieve a success during and after exercise.

The Chairman stated that NAHCON has set 31st December as the deadline for all the States in the Federation to remit all Hajj fare of their intending pilgrims so as to allow the commission and States to plan for the 2024 Hajj.

Atere noted that intending pilgrims could make their payment instalmentally with the aim of completing it before the deadline.

He then enjoined all intending pilgrims to make their payment in time, so that they will not miss the opportunity to go for the spiritual journey.

It could be recalled that the Kingdom Saudi Authority in it’s recent development, announced that,it would end all Hajj activities 55 days to the Arafat which include issuance of Visas.

While appreciating the Chairman for the timely visit, the group pledged their total support and corporation to the Chairman to ensure that he realized all the goals set by the Board towards the achievement of an hitch free and successful exercise.
