Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, will lead a delegation from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to partake in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage
A statement signed by the Assistant Director Public Affairs of NAHCON, Fatima Sanda Usara said MoU will be signed in Saudi Arabia with the delegations set to depart Nigeria on the 7th of January 2024.
The signing of Hajj MoU is an important events that detailed hajj obligations for both countries. Currently, there over 160 delegations from hajj participating countries in Saudi Arabia billed to attend hajj and Umrah conference and also sign the Hajj 2024 memorandum of understanding.
Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar will lead the delegation comprises of NAHCON Ag Chairman, Mallam Jalal Arabi and other senior management staff of the commission.
HAJJ REPORTERS learn that most of the Executive Secretaries of States Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards along with their Chairmen have travelled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the signing of MoU and to sign contracts with Saudi based hajj service providers.
