The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, has asked the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to improve the welfare of Nigeria’s pilgrims during the forthcoming hajj exercise.
He gave the charge in Abuja on Thursday while receiving the newly appointed South West’s representative of the commission, Dr Tajudeen Oladejo.
He said the federal government had made adequate provisions for enhancing quality service delivery to Nigerian pilgrims.
The minister called on all Nigerians to continue to support the present administration.
He said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains committed to actualizing his renewed hope agenda.
Oyetola congratulated the appointee, noting that he had no doubt that he would do well at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
Speaking earlier, Oladejo said the visit was to thank the minister for recommending him for the appointment.
Oladejo, who promised to justify the confidence reposed in him, prayed for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his determination to take Nigeria to greater heights.
The national president of Ansarul Huda Islamic Organisation, Dr Shafi’i Abdul-Azeez Bello, who led the delegation, expressed appreciation to the minister for recommending Oladejo for the appointment.
