Intending Pilgrims from Nasarawa State are expected to pay the sum of four millions six hundred and ninety nine naira for this year’s Hajj.
Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura made this know in a statement issue to newsmen in Lafia.
He said the final Hajj fare which was announce by the chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigeria Mallam Jalal Arabi indicated that Pilgrims from the North Nasarawa State inclusive will pay the sum of 4,699,000, Southern Pilgrims are expected to pay the sum of 4,899,000 while pilgrims from Maiduguri and Yola were to pay 4,679,000.
Mallam Idris Almakura noted that by this announcement all intending Pilgrims from Nasarawa State who made deposit of 4,500,000 naira and below are to complete their fare to 4,699,000 on or before 12th February 2024.
The Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board explained that there will be no further extension of the dateline hence stressed the need for intending Pilgrims to comply with the directive.
The chairman, Forum of Executive Secretaries also used the medium to appreciate the doggedness of the NAHCON boss and his team for their relentless efforts in addressing overhike in this year’s Hajj fare despite increase in the exchange rate.
Mallam Almakura reaffirm his team readiness to supporting NAHCON activities to achieve the desire objectives.
