Press Release

Today, at exactly 12:00 noon, marked the closing time for payment for intending pilgrims nationwide, as per the directive by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.

The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa, has pleaded for an extension of the payment deadline to accommodate more individuals.

Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa made this request during the supervision of the ongoing registration of new intending pilgrims at the Board.

He emphasized that there is still a significant number of people intending to pay for this year’s Hajj, warranting an extension to meet the set targets.

Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa urged the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria to facilitate those interested in paying the full Hajj fare, ensuring they have the opportunity to do so.

Furthermore, Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa expressed appreciation for the efforts of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria in subsidizing the exchange rate for intending pilgrims, resulting in the Hajj seat price being fixed at 4.699 million.
