Hajj Airlift: Sokoto Pilgrims Agency to Partners Sultan Abubakar III International Airport

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has expressed its readiness to partner with the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport for the smooth airlift of Pilgrims and other aviation related matters in line with the Agency’s statutory roles.

The Chairman, Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa Gusau disclosed this when he paid a working visit to the management of the Airport.

He pointed out that the partnership would enhance Hajj operations in the State, adding that aviation is part and parcel of Hajj operations.

He tasked the Management of the airport to look into the possibility of utilising the newly constructed Hajj Terminal for 2024 Hajj.

He assured of the State Government’s readiness to assist in making the Terminal habitable for Pilgrims.

Responding, the manager Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Alhaji Ibrahim Tijjani assured of their readiness to work hand in hand with the agency for smooth airlift of 2024 Pilgrims.

He said if put in proper shape, the terminal will ease Pilgrims screening and departure process.

The Manager thanked the Agency for the visit and hoped for more collaboration in the area of Pilgrims welfare.

The Airport Manager later conducted the Chairman and his entourage round the new Hajj terminal.
